Everything you need to know about maternity photography

When is the best time for maternity photos?
The ideal time is between weeks 28-36 of pregnancy, typically around weeks 30-34 when your belly has a beautiful size. Every pregnancy is unique, so assess based on your belly size rather than strict week numbers.
What happens after the maternity photoshoot?
You get access to an online gallery with the unedited original images within a few days. Here you can create favorites, add comments, and choose your final images. Professional editing takes an average of 2-5 business days after your selections.
I saw an image that inspired me, can we make something similar?
Yes, absolutely! Feel free to share inspiration images via SMS or email in advance. I encourage you to gather inspiration. Together we can create exactly the style you want.
I am not sure how to pose for a maternity photoshoot?
You do not need to worry about that! I guide you through all poses during the entire session. I show you how to stand, where to place your hands, and how to best highlight your belly. You can follow along on a screen during the shoot. It is my job to make you feel relaxed and safe, so the images become natural and beautiful.
Do you offer outdoor maternity photography in nature?
No, maternity photography takes place in the studio where we have full control over light and surroundings. This provides the best results and a comfortable experience in safe surroundings.
Do you have dresses or clothes I can choose from?
Yes, I have a selection of dresses and clothes you can choose from. You are also welcome to bring your own clothes. I have written a guide about clothing choices for maternity images, which you can find on the website.
Are maternity photos as a couple or family a possibility?
Yes, absolutely! Father or partner is very welcome to be part of the session, and we can also do family pictures if you have older children. It is a wonderful way to document your family at this special time. Please let me know at booking if you want couple or family pictures.
